چکیده
The textile industry is a growing sector worldwide and has immense opportunity in terms of providing employment boosting nation’s economy. However, there exist severe environmental risks associated with effluents that impact the surrounding ecosystem. This review offers an approach for sustainable water management using phycoremediation to treat dye-laden wastewater recover bio-based pigments from residual biomass. Microalgae such as Chlorella, Scenedesmus, Phormidium, macroalgae like Sargassum, Enteromorpha, Codium been extensively used several phycoremediation-based studies, their biomass could be potent source extraction pigments. also recommends studies involving algal-bacterial consortia treating alternative conventional, biobased methods. outcome this study will provide policymakers researchers new insight manage resources sustainably. Furthermore, enhances our understanding nature-based decontamination approaches through algal-based technologies.

Effluent from textile industries were treated with enzyme from white rot fungi isolated from outskirts of Mumbai and identified as Polyporus rubidus in our laboratory. Decolorisation of 4 Reactive dyes commonly found in the effluents such as Reactive bue, Reactive orange, Ramazol black and Congo red was examined by treatment with enzyme from Polyporus rubidus. Treatment of effluent was done in ...

متن کاملRemediation of synthetic dyes from wastewater using yeast—An overview
Synthetic dyes released by various industries pose a real concern to the environmental safety. Existing physico-chemical methods of dye removal from effluents suffer from severe constraints like low efficiency, high operational cost and large amount of sludge generation. Over the last two decades, considerable work has been done with the goal of using microorganisms as bioremediation agents in ...
متن کاملDecolorization of dyes from textile wastewater by Trametes versicolor.
The white rot fungus Trametes versicolor was applied to the decolourisation of three synthetic textile dyes in the presence and absence of glucose. Different initial dye concentrations were tested and approximately 97% decolourisation was achieved. It was found that fungal metabolism induced by the glucose as well as the pH play an important role in the decolourisation process. This treatment w...
